La Mercería de la calle Pelai

 

Esta leyenda urbana es bastante antigua; se remonta a la década de 1970 y supuestamente sucedió en Barcelona. Parece ser que, en la calle Pelai (cerca de Plaza Cataluña), había una famosa mercería, en la que se rumoreaba que desaparecían clientas. La leyenda urbana sostenía que en los probadores existía un mecanismo que hacía que, cuando entraban a probarse lencería, el cubículo giraba por entero y la mujer quedaba atrapada. Parece ser que, luego, eran destinadas al harén de un jeque árabe…

El rumor fue tan insistente que hasta la policía tuvo que intervenir. Finalmente, se descubrió que era sólo un bulo, probablemente lanzado por tiendas de la competencia…
